    Hi there,

Yes, but you'll need to retrieve your reports in CSV format by setting the
"alt" parameter in your generate request to the value "csv". If you give me
some details on what programming language you're using (and whether or not
you're using a client library) I may be able to give you some further help.

    Cheers,
    Sérgio

    Good day,

I'm a Mac only programmer who uses the Saucelabs web-based product to
preview web pages in IE on Windows platforms. It's a good product.
Very dynamic. Flash-based. But at $30 per month, it's expensive for
    occasionally use.

I am looking for an alternative. Thoughts? Recommendations?

I've used IE in virtual box before, seems to work ok if your machine can handle it. Here is an article that shows how to download virtualbox with virtual versions of windows.

Like I said, though, my machine is old and really bogged down with two virtual machines.

There's a program that I use that has all versions of IE for testing all the way back to IE3. And it's FREE. Find it here:

    WOW.

$30.00 a month for an IE preview? I can't believe that. In ten months you could afford a cheap $300.00 laptop for that. And if all you are doing is browsing the web you can set it up for automated updates, free anti-virus from Microsoft and have a spare PC should you ever need one.

There are alternatives, but I would just consider the above suggestion. That said, there are free services, but as I am stuck on a Windows based platform I don't pay any attention to them and just have all the browsers at ready.

At AdSense in Your City events, we focus on identifying new revenue opportunities and best practices for growing with AdSense. Each session includes presentations on optimization tips, using DoubleClick for Publishers Small Business, and going mobile. Publishers who attend also receive a one-on-one site review with a member of the AdSense team, who offers customized recommendations. We frequently hear from AdSense in Your City attendees that one of the best parts of the event is getting the opportunity to interact with and learn from other local AdSense publishers. Space is limited, so sign up quickly if you'd like to attend!

    Hi,

Is there a way to get a quick summary of the details such as

    1. Today's earnings
    2. Last 7 days earnings
    3. Last 30 days earnings
    4. All time earnings, cpc etc
    etc

like the ones shown in the adsense homepage. I'm currently downloading the
    entire
data of an account and this takes up a lot of bandwidth. Also, I get values
    that are slightly
off between the months and days(due to invalid clicks taken into account, I
think) from the ones in the adsense website.
For example, the total earnings from the individual months does not match
all time totals. It is off by one cent.

I can reduce the bandwidth and also get exact results as in the adsense
site by splitting it into 3 requests for the day, week and month but
since my application will run every hour and will have many
    users(hopefully), I could
exhaust my quotas. So this isn't feasible.

    Thanks in advance.

    "Sérgio Gomes" <sergiomdgomes@gmail.com> Jun 28 07:52AM -0700

    Hi Toruk,

I'm afraid there's no way to aggregate all those reports into a single
    request.

Is there any way you can reduce the frequency at which you run reports?
Since the earnings you're getting seem to be on a daily basis at most,
perhaps you can try running it just once a day.

In case that's not possible, you can at least reduce the number of requests
by not running the longer period reports every hour.

As for invalid clicks, yes, these are things that are calculated up to a
day or two after the click event, so you'll need to periodically update
your data to make sure you get correct values.

    Cheers,
    Sérgio

    Hi Sérgio,

I'll try and reduce the requests that I make and ensure that it runs in
    longer durations. The reason I
wanted to run it hourly was so that it would automatically show
    notifications periodically without
users having to refresh their stats(which can become an addiction if
    unchecked :) ).

It'd be great if you could consider adding the quick stats api call feature
for the next version of the Adsense API.

    Thanks for the fast reply.

    Sergio,
In case it's a server that need to call this service (no user in the
middle) and get results, do you have any code example on how to do the
    oauth 2.0 authentication procedure ?

    Sorry for interrupting Xiaohu.

    Hi Dor,

In that case, I'd suggest you look at either the installed application or
web server flows and use those for the initial authentication of your app.
After that, just make sure you store and reuse the credential data, and you
should never have to authenticate again. The client library guide<https://developers.google.com/adsense/management/complete_guide>should get you started.

The titles above the UIs are links, which you can download and import into
photoshop. I'm not sure if the components are separated into layers, but if
so you can tweak them as needed. They could be good for mockups, but be
careful about using them in your website: they may be protected.

[Inside AdSense] Watch our latest Hangouts On Air to learn how to get started with DFP Small Business and Mobile

This past month we hosted two Hangouts on Air to help publishers get started with DFP Small Business and to create mobile websites using DudaMobile's free mobile site builder. If you missed either Hangout, don't worry -- we've included short recaps below, and you can watch the recordings at any time from our YouTube channel.

Getting started with DFP Small Business

If you're thinking about using an ad server, just getting started using DFP or would like to learn some best practices you may have missed, then be sure to check out the video from our DFP Hangout.

In the video, DFP specialist Rishan first explains how an ad server works and the benefits it can provide to growing publishers. He then discusses orders, line items and your ad units, and the ideal way to set up each. Before closing, Rishan talks about the different ways to traffic direct ads versus other ad networks and enable dynamic allocation for non-guaranteed inventory.

Learning to build a mobile site

In our mobile Hangout, specialists from Google and our partner DudaMobile, work with Dan from ScienceDaily.com to build a mobile version of his website. You'll learn about available resources and important questions to ask yourself when starting to 'go mobile' with your site and how to create mobile ads to monetize mobile traffic.

We hope you'll join us for our future Hangouts -- be sure to stay connected with us by adding Google AdSense to your circles on Google+.

    Hi Sérgio,
I know the host Api v4, but we never had problems with the reporting
features of the current api, so we didn't implemented it yet.
Is it possible to solve the problem with this account without using the api
    v4?

    Hi Sergio,

I've tried that as requested, and still get the same "invalid_scope" error
    response:

    curl -d
    "client_id=123456789.apps.googleusercontent.com&scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adsense"
    https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/device/code
    {
    "error" : "invalid_scope"

    kunal pawar <kunal4uonly@gmail.com> Jun 27 05:28PM +0530

    Hi All,

I needed help / advice on domain transfer & changing the hosting server.
We have a domain say yourname.com which was purchased by another party & is
    hosted on their server.

Now we are looking to get the domain name transferred to us & to host the
    site on our server.

The site is developed in Java, content on the site is managed by a CMS &
the leads are directly stored in a LMS…The site has decent traffic & we
don't want to loose that in this transition.

Can someone please help me to understand the precautionary steps that will
be essential for this domain name transfer & for changing the hosting of
    the site?

Also help me to understand, Can Windows Server support hosting for the
site as the site has been developed in Java or we will need a Linux Server?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kunal.

[Inside AdSense] PubTalk: Docstoc’s Jason Nazar says ads can complement e-commerce

When Docstoc was launched in 2007 as an online destination to help small businesses grow, advertising was the only source of revenue. As the company grew, the business model evolved to include premium subscriptions. We recently spoke with Jason Nazar, CEO of Docstoc, on the impact of advertising on their e-commerce business.

Jason says that as subscriptions grew, there was significant internal debate at Docstoc on whether ads were distracting users and limiting subscriptions. A strong believer of testing and making data-driven decisions, Jason removed all ads across the site for a single day to see if this created uplift in subscriptions.

With more than 600,000 daily visitors, the results of the experiment were definitive: removing ads did not have a noticeable impact on subscription conversions. In fact, user engagement metrics like time on site and page views per user didn't improve either, debunking the myth that ads were alienating users.

Jason concluded that there could be a harmonious balance between running an e-commerce business and having ads on the site because a site's audience isn't homogeneous. In Docstoc's case, while some people are looking for the high quality content behind the pay wall, others want quick information. When Docstoc is unable to provide information to users in the second group, contextually relevant advertising helps answer their questions – thus, Docstoc is able to earn revenue from users who are unlikely to convert to paying subscribers. Users invested in the service and the content sign up for the subscription service even with the AdSense ads. "From an overall revenue standpoint, we're clearly much better for having both advertising and e-commerce on the site," he says.

Jason advises publishers to be aggressive about testing any product they use on their site and to make decisions that are driven by data, rather than subjective opinions and whims. "If you've got a content site with a lot of traffic, AdSense and products like it are a fantastic way to drive revenue, even if you have opportunities like lead gen, e-commerce and subscription, you shouldn't be taking off the ad products - you should be figuring out how they can live together in harmony, because you'll make more money for it."

Read the full case study on the 'Success Stories' section of our Help Center. Have you had similar results on your website? Share your story with us on the Google AdSense +page.

    Hi Gil,

I assume you're referring to the AdSense Management API<https://developers.google.com/adsense/management/index>?
I'm afraid the highest level of granularity available is DOMAIN_NAME, so
the only breakdown you'd get would be per domain.

Other than that, if you want to track any finer-grained statistics, you'll
probably need to set up some URL channels<http://support.google.com/adsense/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=126138>and report based on those.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Hi,
I have a problem with a publisher account created with the host api. The
account works as expected, but when I try to create a AFCSiteReport with
the generateReport api call, the response is error 113. The account is
correctly associated and active, and if I try to create a
    AFCAggregateReport the api answers correctly.
What can be the problem? The publisher id of this account is
    ca-pub-1377964584786572
    Thanks

    "Sérgio Gomes" <sergiomdgomes@gmail.com> Jun 26 11:09AM -0700

    Hi Filippo,

AFCSiteReport has some known issues, and this may be what you're running
into. Would you be willing to give AdSense Host API v4<https://developers.google.com/adsense/host/overview>a try? It's a different technology stack, and it only does reporting at the
moment, but it's got a full-fledged reporting system<https://developers.google.com/adsense/host/v4/reference/reports/generate>with configurable dimensions, metrics and periods.

    Cheers,

    Hey,

I'm having an issue implementing the AdSense API for devices. Previously
I've authenticated accounts without any issue, but when I attempted to add
a new account authentication yesterday, I was unable to perform this
operation. I used the following cURL request to generate the
    user_code/device_code etc:

    *curl -d
    "client_id=XXXXXXXXXXX.apps.googleusercontent.com&scope=https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adsense.readonly"
    https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/device/code*

which returned to me the json

    *{*
    * "error" : "invalid_scope"*
    *}*

I've double checked the client_id and it is correct, and have been able to
authenticate a different scope (for example *
    https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email* looks to return correctly)

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Michael

I was just curious because I have been delayed quite sometime on a website
trying to implement this concept by a former programmer i was with who
after 9 months of delays told me that my concept was impossible to create,
yet just yesterday, i see it exists exactly as I want in to function and it
is simply called Google AdSense Host API? Also just for curiosities sake,
when did the 100k daily page view rule kick into effect?

Part 2, are there verified companies/programmers that have implemented
Google Adsense Host API with success that can be hired for consultation/
independent audit before I apply for my site?

Had I been more involved on the technical side myself I am sure I would
have known about this long ago or have been able to do the research to find
it, alas, you live and you learn.

Any info will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
