Since I started coming to this group a few weeks ago, I have made
mention of the 1140 gris a few times. I finally decided to do a real
world test and rebuild my site with it. I have some tweaks to do yet,
but overall I am pleased with how it performs.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
** Make sure you resize your browser to see the "stacking" effect
when it goes liquid to mobile.

Wow, that's really cool on the resize :) One thing you forgot is to code
in your body tag background color. I'd like to see it again with that done.

Deb,
I went ahead and put a background of #cccccc on the site

Ahhh, better. Did you try white by any chance or a shade or so off-white
like perhaps #f2f2f2 / #f9f9f9? No offense but I think the #cccccc looks
a bit on the drab side.

Thanks for all your feedback. I'll look at having a floating menu, and shortening the page. I am a bit of a minimalist but i see where you're going with too much white space. I had originally planned to have a graphic going between each 'page' like a rope of something.
Is the 1 page idea worth it for SEO?
@Oliver - The main reason I decided on one page was for SEO, as i heard that the index was the first place the search engine looks. How do you propose i clear up navigation?
@Chris - Thanks for your in depth response, the domain name is free :) as i am just starting, I plan on purchasing a domain name in the near future though. I had a look at the links you gave me, thanks. I'll look into it.
I'm 16 and this is my second website ever, so all advice counts :)
I'll update the site and repost soon
thanks

I think your ideas to improve the site and your willingness to take advice
show that you are a serious designer; your talent and willingness to learn
will take you far in this profession. I'm also impressed that somehow, at
age 16, you managed to have the foresight to "capture" dr.com for yourself
... a very good move.
You are also lucky to live close to one of my favorite places to "hang
out"; *Madurodam near you in *Scheveningen.

Daniel,
You inspired me to get off my lazy butt and build a site last night that was
just a shell. I built it using the 1140 template framework I gave you a link
for. I made a thread here in the group for a critique from my peers,
yourself included.

To get your Menu to scroll add display:fixed; to the containing div.

Olivier is right on the SEO, one page websites will have a much harder
time getting decent rankings. The endless scrolling is also considered
not so user-friendly. I like the design concept but these are 2 things
I'd not do.

What Harold said, ditto. Not enough white space makes things look
crowded, to much makes things look to detached from one another. In my
opinion, a balance is needed between content, design and white space.
