Hi Team,
 
I have a webpage that displays related search units based on a
keyword/search query that is passed to the Google CSA JavaScript method as
a parameter.
 
In my Adsense dashboard, the data for related search units is being
reported under a metric named Funnel; e.g. Funnel Impressions, Funnel Click
etc.
 
I am fetching account level report for certain dimensions and metrics from
the Adsense Management API's REST resource endpoint but I am unable to find
any dimension or metric for related search units or for funnel clicks etc.
in the documentation.
 
Does anyone have fetched these metrics before or know where I can find the
documentation about them. Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks for your question. The funnel metrics are not currently supported in the external API. Adding that support is being looked at, but for now, you should continue to use the main AdSense reporting page to get the data you need.

Thank you I was able to create the script but I get the following error
when trying to get adunits details:
 
"The caller does not have permission". Details: "The caller does not have

but receiving "The caller does not have permission" error although the
other service to get account details is working for me. I have the
client_id, client_secret and refresh_token with me and able to use the
other service i.e service.accounts().list(pageSize=50)
For the ad unit details I also tried the APIs Explorer but getting the same
error there as well:

Great that you have made progress. I think the missing part is that you need to call service.accounts().adclients().list() with the parameter "accounts/{accountId}". Then you will have the correct value for the adclient to use as the parent for the call to service.accounts().adclients().adunits().list().
 
If you still hit problems, I would recommend experimenting with the API explorer (the "Try this method" box) on the management API documentation page at https://developers.google.com/adsense/management/reference/rest/v2/accounts/list

Hi,
I'm trying to create an api script with python for Adsense.
I have already created the application with the scopes and using the
client_id and client_secret I have also generated the refresh token. Is
there a way to initialise a client and service for adsense like it is there
in the admanager API?
 
For instance, I'm using the following code snippet in python to create
oauth using client_d, client_secret and refresh_token

oauth2_client = oauth2.GoogleRefreshTokenClient(
client_id, client_secret, refresh_token)
except Exception as err:
return f"Google Refresh Token Authentication Error: {str(err)}"
 
Then I use the following snippet to initialise the client and use a service

Is there a similar way for Adsense API to initialise a client using
client_id, client_secret and refresh token and then use a service?

Are you able to use the API tester on the developer site to experiment with the API calls first? And if so, does that result in a successful response?
 
Try this URL, first change the account field to what the account you'd like to query, then hit "Execute" at the bottom of the right hand side panel (the "Try this method" panel):

If that's showing you the results you expect, then I'll need to see the request URLs you're sending in order to be able to help further. You can run the python script and copy the URLs from the terminal.
 
As a side-note, URL channels only work when pre-defined for specific URLs inside the AdSense account. And you can only create a limited number of them. AdSense recently launched a new feature inside reporting which shows you the URL-level breakdown of reports. Go to the reports page in AdSense, and choose the "Page URL" dimension. Note that this dimension only shows URLs that have sufficient traffic, and data is only stored for the past 30 days. You can learn more about this dimension here:

I'm looking into extracting earnings per specific URL but just can't pull
it off.
 
In simple terms want to use these URL_CHANNEL_NAME as dimensions, and
ESTIMATED_EARNINGS as a metric.
 
I'm using Python and followed this sample as a reference:

Tried to create a saved report with URLs, then pull it via the API but
still end up with the same error message.

This is a new job for me and my knowledge for this job is quite weak, so I
would appreciate your help.
My problem is that I want to output ROWS containing data that match
DIMENTIONS and METRICS, however, the returned results only include headers,
startDate and endDate.

Hi,
 
The API will only return a `rows` field if there are any non-zero rows to be returned. That is, if you were to run the same report in the AdSense UI, then I would expect this report to only show "0" for every row in the UI.
 
However, if this is not the case, and the UI report does show non-zero data, then I can help you compare the two reports to make sure they are indeed identical (same dimensions, filters, and user).

Hi all, in the past few days my CTR percentage has suddenly increased
dramatically, even though I haven't done anything on my website. is this
safe?
 
My CTR used to be around 1-2%, now it's up 5-6%. How to handle it?

I'm very new to this stuff and my coding knowledge is pretty weak.
I want to show my daily estimated earnings on the Raspberry Pi screen. Just
like the youtube stats show in this video.

But I couldn't find how to write the code. How can I use these metrics with
python? Is there a detailed guide? As I said, my coding knowledge is very
poor, I really need a guide.

That sounds like an awesome project! We have a Python client library that can be used to call the AdSense Management API. The best place to start is our Python examples folder. You can follow the steps in the README to set up the Python client library, and then you can use the generate_report.py example for your use case (it already has ESTIMATED_EARNINGS as one of the metrics that is fetched).
