Digest for seo-professionals@googlegroups.com - 1 update in 1 topic

Daniel Marcos <daniel.marcos@gmail.com>: Jan 28 10:19PM -0200

Hello everybody,
I would like to share something and ask the opinions of colleagues.

We will mount an ecommerce and we are studying the URL's format.

See this case.
The platform of the categories of division, the url will have more
categories and subcategories and the product name.
But I'm worried about excess keyword in different url in the same category.

Here's how it will look:

www.store.com/manufacturer/category/subcategory/product-name

This same format will be repeated for the various categories of the site.
But I do not like very much, and would like to share and hear from you.

We're talking about thousands of url with countless categories with the
same keyword, and the size to be over.

What is the influence that the result of ranking?

Does great content can overcome a long url in this case, or not have to
worry about size this url linked to keyword repetition.

Digest for adsense-api@googlegroups.com - 2 updates in 1 topic

Nicolas Daudin <nicolas.daudin@gmail.com>: Jan 22 02:50PM -0800

Hi Dean

Thanks for your quick answer.

No, I'm specifying the date directly, like this (node.js code)

var reportParams = {
accountId : accountId,
auth : oauth2Client,
startDate: day,
endDate: day,
dimension:'DATE',
metric:'EARNINGS'
}

day being of format YYYY-MM-DD

I didn't know that there was a keyword 'today' available. Should I put like
this in parameter 'startDate'?

Regards,
Nicolas.

Hi Nicolas,

take a look at this Relative Dates
<https://developers.google.com/adsense/management/reporting/relative_dates>
you should be able to use 'today' in place of your day variable

If you find it faster, you can work out your parameters on the developers
site https://developers.google.com/adsense/management/v1.4/reference/accounts/reports/generate#try-it

thanks,
Dean

PS: I wanted to remind people about stackoverflow.com and the adsense-api

Digest for adsense-api@googlegroups.com - 2 updates in 1 topic

Nicolas Daudin <nicolas.daudin@gmail.com>: Jan 21 11:14AM -0800

Hi

When I try to retrieve earnings of adsense very early in the morning from a
cron on a server based in France, I get an error.
If today for example is the 21st of January, when I send the date to
Adsense API I request earnings from 21st to 21st.

Is this because the Adsense API works on Pacific timezone?

If that's the case, how can I work around this? Should I get earnings from
"yesterday"? Should I check earnings only after a certain time (9am in
france...)

Regards,
Nicolas.

Hi Nicolas,

are you specifying a date or using the keyword 'today' - use the keyword
and it should work, let me know if not?

also, please remember that the earnings will be an estimate and are subject
to change.

thanks,
Dean

Digest for adsense-api@googlegroups.com - 2 updates in 1 topic

mick strife <dummy2k@2-minds.com>: Jan 09 10:43AM -0800

I am a PHP developer and i want to create a script, which reads data from a
certain AdSense account of a customer.
I tried a AdSense example of google which is findable here:
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-adsense-examples/tree/master/php-clientlib-1.x/v1.x

However, when i try to execute the script i get the following error message:

*Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Google_Service_Exception' with message 'Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/adsense/v1.4/accounts?maxResults=50: (403) Users account is pending review.'*

this was only the first line of errors.

Could someone give me a hint how to solve this? Especially what is meant with "*Users account is pending review" ?*

Many thanks!

Hi Mick,

the API think's your account is in a pending state.

First thing to try is to make the request through the api explorer while
logged in as that account -
https://developers.google.com/adsense/management/v1.4/reference/accounts/list#try-it

If that works, you need to check the security setup of your PHP (start with
the client_secrets.json file and make sure the details come from the same
account)

If that doesn't work (and indicates that the account is 'pending' ) you
should reach out to your AdSense contact to try to fix the account issue.

thanks,
Dean
