you need 25 fans before you can change your URL to what ever you want I
    think.

True, between 25 and 100 likes / fans, it is called a vanity URL, under edit
    page

Technically there is a difference but in everyday lingo its the same thing:

Facebook page can be referred to as an personal fb account...

A facebook fan page can be a group, company, church, etc...

I am not quite sure. I was offered a vanity url and took symbioticdesign
since my name was gone and that is my company name. Then, they started
having commercial pages to cut down on the fake profiles sporting a company
name, and I couldn't get symbioticdesign since I was already using it on my
    personal profile.

But despite the confusion, you can have a company page if you have a
personal profile on facebook. The profile isn't set up as a fan site so
much, while the commercial pages are setup to be liked (changed from
becoming a fan, as we don't become fans of biz, but people don't Mind
    expressing likes).

But now I can't remember my company url. I can't even remember the url for
    the WD&D group over there.

    Always sump'n.
    > Thanks

you want to leave? its great here :) think it would be better if the website
had a php based forum rather than going to google groups.

what about a site design competition for the forums?
