I am looking for a way to play audio on a web page. I've just about
settled on Wimpy as the options are astounding.

However, it is Flash based so that leaves behind mobile media.

I was thngkng of using a conditional statement that plays Wimpy Wasp
for desktops and HTM5 for mobile browsers.

    Thoughts?

There is one called JPlayer. Its based on jQuery. However, it's a plugin and
you will need to develop the UI yourself (a good thing, if you ask me).
According to the docs, its based on HTML5 with a flash fallback. I used it
once before (indirectly though) and its really good but the testings were
done mostly done on computers. Mobile deployment wasn't there in the SRS...
    :)

    The site is jplayer.org

    Best of luck...
