    Doug,

I have used Godaddy and the service was fine, just the packages did not fit
my needs. I still use them for buying and managing domain names. My only
"beef" with them was that the site is a nightmare due to the constant
up-selling, but that is how they make their money and I cannot say for
sure that I would not do the same if I were in their position. The process
was not Choose --> Register --> Pay. It was more like Choose -->
Thanks / No thanks --> Thanks / No thanks Register --> Thanks / No thanks
--> Thanks / No thanks --> Thanks / No thanks Pay --> Thanks / No
    thanks.

I think a lot of other customers complained also because they have changed
it a little bit. You can now opt out of the up-sell to some extent.

I think the Godaddy bashing stems in part from them being the largest in
their niche. Some people do not like the fact that Bob Parsons is NOT
politically correct, has scantily clad women on the website, shoots
elephants etc, etc. I actually find him refreshing and keep buying from him
because he is NOT Politically correct.

To people that have used cPanel or other UIs to manage an account, it does
seem cumbersome, but for the entry level customer it just "is". Since they
have nothing to compare it with, they do not realize that it is cumbersome.

For those of us that use cPanel, the process of creating a database on
Godaddy is a slow, painful, experience - at least it was last time I tried
    that.

I understand what you are talking about.

Personally, I couldn't care less about Bob Parsons' politics as long as he isn't raping children. I have two clients using their web hosting. The UI is cumbersome, you have to request server features be turned on on a case by case basis, and the server seemed slow to me. YMMV

    Hi all,
is there a way to test a site into multiple version of a browser, for
    instance ie7, ie8 etc
not at once of course but by selecting which you want

    Kind regards,

My favorite is Eclipse with Aptana-Plugin. It's great for Java, PHP,
HTML and CSS and it's OpenSource.
