@Liam, Just wanted you to know that i didnt take your advise and
suggestions as an offence, on the contrary i really appreciate it. i
have visited the sites you suggested. Some of the are confusing
though. Now i want you to clearify something for me. You said you copy
site, create them on PS and the build them. I want to know how you
copy, if its by taking a screen shot of the sites and cut them up in
PS or by saving the sites and then editing them offline with
DreameWeaver and PS. If you method is the first them it means you
would have to deal with lots of images and then there would be the
problem of text to. Really i need you suggestions cos i really want to
now work on my design skills.
    Thanks

    Ernest,

I think he meant get inspiration from high quality sites.. sites that come
to mind are Adobe.com, kickstart.com - or any web 2.0 site that is popular
this week. I guess you could screenshot them so that you can remember what
they look like and how they are laid out. Pay attention to colors.

Maybe you can start yourself a offline portfolio of sites you like. Take a
screenshot and make notes about the site and what you like. That way, when
you need to build a site, you can look through your inspiration portfolio
    for ideas.

I am not trying to discourage you, but I believe that an eye for design is
born in some people. while there are colleges that teach design from a
    technical perspective.

Go to adobe.com and check out MUSE. http://muse.adobe.com/features.html

It is their new platform for building websites. Not as complicated as
dreamweaver and acts almost like a template in the way it helps you design
a site. It is free right now while it is in beta, but when it launches it
will be a subscription product, you will have to pay by the month

What I done was just bring a site up and copy it in photoshop, no screen
shots I did it from scratch then used my photoshop mock ups to recreate the
    site. you learn alot :-)

Practice is key and also looking at other great sites gives you a lot of
inspiration I also read .net and web designer magazines they are fantastic!

ST does code complete via a plugin - one of the guys on the forums ported
the Komodo one to ST - have a look at
