    Hi everyone,

We're thrilled to announce the new AdSense Management API, a new API for
publishers who want to programmatically retrieve reports for their AdSense
accounts, as well as get their inventory (ad clients, ad units, channels)
    data.

We've also renamed the existing API from "AdSense API" to "AdSense Host
API", to make it clear it's only meant to be used by our host partners.

Check out the announcement in our blog<http://adsenseapi.blogspot.com/2011/10/new-and-updated.html> and
take a look at the updated AdSense APIs documentation page<http://code.google.com/apis/adsense/>
    .

    Happy coding!

    Cheers,
    Sérgio

How does the new AdSense approval process affect the API users?

Currently we are allowing users to create AdSense accounts using APIs
but we do wait until their account is approved to start using their Ad
Code. But the new AdSense approval process require publishers to start
using the Ad Code before the final approval.

Does the APIs return the "Approved" status after the initial approval
or after final approval? Do the APIs return different status for
    initial approval and final approval?

    Hi Tony,

it should return Approved after the initial approval already. At this stage
they will begin to show blank ads, and in the AdSense front-end the
messaging informs the user that their account remains under review.

    Manu
