I'm looking into branching out my business more into web
design/development. i'm looking at getting my feet wet with Wordpress
and/or Drupal and am wondering how much is done templating vs skinning
existing templates. Which is better to get started?

Neal,
Your site is a little too Wordpress. Have you thought about breaking out of
the mold? What logos/branding/color scheme are you using? I would take out
the random photos link IMHO it takes away from the message of your site.
