Hi All:
can we import all adunits generate by api v3 one time?
thanks!
- "Jose Alcérreca (AdSense API Team)" <adsenseapiadvisor+jose@google.com> Feb 13 05:14AM -0800
Hi again!
There was no Ad Unit concept in v3, the code was generated on the fly.
A possible migration process is:
- Get your stored list of ad clients that you were using on v3
- Get the account id<https://developers.google.com/adsense/host/v4.1/accounts/adclients/get>for each of them (and store it)
- Create<https://developers.google.com/adsense/host/v4.1/accounts/adunits/insert>an ad unit using the account id and ad client id for each one
- Generate the code<https://developers.google.com/adsense/host/v4.1/accounts/adunits/getAdCode>of each ad unit (and store it)
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers,
Jose

Hi Jose:
thanks your response, so if i want to get report generate by API V4, i need
to create all manually, right?

Hi Google Adsense Team,
We are currently using the Adsense API to pull our daily AFC reports and we
grab the revenue numbers from the TOTAL_EARNINGS metric. An api call on
02/09/13 for 02/08/13 numbers reported the correct TOTAL_EARNINGS numbers
as shown on the web ui console but today's api call for 02/08 seems to be
reporting completely wrong numbers. Has something changed in the Adsense
API that could be affecting these numbers?
Thanks,
Patrick

As a work around you can use EARNINGS instead of TOTAL_EARNINGS which would
give you the same numbers.

Hi Google Adsense team,
We are currently using the TOTAL_EARNINGS metric to report on our revenue
numbers. An adsense api call on 02/09/13 for 02/08/13 TOTAL_EARNINGS
numbers seems to match the revenue numbers in the web ui console but
today's api call for 02/08/13 is returning the wrong numbers. Did something
change in the adsense api in the past few days?
Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
*TOTAL_EARNINGS* is a dimension that only makes sense in the AdSense Host
API (I'm guessing you are using Management API). It was removed this week
hence the inconsistent data you're receiving. The documentation is being
updated right now.
Please use *EARNINGS* instead in the AdSense Management API.
I hope this doesn't cause you too much trouble and please accept
our apologies.
Thank you for the heads up!
Jose

Thanks for the clarification Jose. Much appreciated. We'll switch to using
the EARNINGS numbers.
Thanks,
Patrick

Hello,
I'm updating my code to use v4.1 and was testing association with my
sandbox account. Managed to authenticate, yet, by calling the "start"
function from the API library, following exception showed up:
> /path/libraries/Adsense.php(52):
> Google_AssociationsessionsServiceResource->start('AFC', 'www.example
> in/path/libraries/Google/io/Google_REST.php on line 66
Any ideas?

Hi there,
That's really difficult to debug remotely. Has your sandbox been activated?
Anyway, I'd recommend you use the APIs Explorer to test the calls:
https://developers.google.com/adsense/host/v4.1/associationsessions/start
If you use an incognito window you can make sure that you're using your
correct sandbox account.
Cheers,
Jose

Hi!
Can you rephrase the question? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
Thanks!
