I want to create an e-commerce website. Should I use wordpress, or there
are better tools?
the website I want to make is an on-line book store.
Thanks,
Aharon

I think it depends on the kind of web site you want and how many features you need. You are not going to be able to build a web site that behaves like Amazon.com on WordPress. You may want to investigate a full bore ecommerce solution, either standalone (e.g., Magento, OSCommerce, OpenCart, Cubecart, etc.) or a hosted solution (e.g., Volusion, Shopify, Lemonade Stand, etc.).
If you are selling books, look into an Amazon store. That would be my first choice.

I have been playing with TinMCE and I like it. Thanks, Balaji. It seems to
write clean code (unlike CKEditor) and is very easy to install.
The problem I am trying to solve is that I want to give my customers enough
capability to edit text but not much more. I haven't had much success
training clients in web editing and file management and it seems that the
"full bodied" CMS solutions just cause problems (nonbillable hours of code
correction).
With TinyMCE, I now have a reliable, web-based text editor that writes
clean code, offers basic markup tools (bold, italic, styles, links, and so
forth), and fences off a lot of trouble areas from overeager staffers.

When we develop WP sites for "technologically challenged" clients, there is the built in WYSIWYG editors, but I've been dabbling in short codes. That does seem to help them a bit.
But why wouldn't you charge them for correcting their errant code? That certainly would go a long way toward motivating them to either learn to do it properly or leave it alone! We have a "you break it; we fix it" clause in all our contracts, and maintenance contracts too.

Joni,
Of course, they understand that the policy is "you break it, we fix it and charge you," but I want to forestall as many problems as I can.
For example, one client just thinks that his pages look best in Comic Sans. Never mind all the talk of branding and style sheets and so forth. So I want the editor to make it difficult for him to get too creative.
That's a simple example. More to the point are the ugly coding nightmares that happen because someone is innocently playing around with capabilities that cause trouble. They never see the code they are creating but I have to come back and repair it. I like clean, good-looking code.
I agree that WP has largely solved this problem with its access classes, but I find that the frameworks (Drupal, Joomla WP, etc.) are too confining in other respects.
Oh well, for me, this seems like an ongoing problem that I am constantly addressing. Like searching for the holy grail. Maybe I should just set this aside and do something useful (i.e., getting some better clients (LOL)).
