    I run a site - www.bettercareguide.org - which has been slowly building
    traffic over the last year. Two weeks ago the traffic dropped off a cliff
    as shown by this graph.
     
    I made no changes (that I am aware of) to the site. I have realised that
    one of the external sites I have many links to changed their format at some
    point, so I had many broken external links (now fixed).
     
    Can anyone suggest what may have caused this change (or anything else I can
    do)?

    1 huge problem I see is that google bot can't access much because your index is asking data input.... The bot can't type anything.
     
    I see what you are trying to do but I can think of 10 better ways. You need a pro.

    Header tags
     
    Just google it and you will have a better understanding .
     
    See the index page is like a table of contents of a book... Each chapter is a H2 and the book name is the H1 sorta heh.
