    Hi all,

I need some help with creating a horizontal menu bar for my website.
I need each link to span on two lines. Something like this:

    Home About Contact
Welcome to Site All about us Talk to us

They will sit in a header div which has a height of 100px.
I want these to be centered vertically and when a person hovers the
hover background fills the 100px height for each link. I have tried
using a <br> tag within the main link but it doesn't work.

The best online example I know to explain what I am trying to do is:
    http://southcreative.com/gold-coast-web-design.html

I will not be using a background image - just a background colour.

    Thanks for any help,

    Andy ;-)

I fail to see how your example helps. It doesn't appear to do what I think you want your nav menu to do. Unless I am confused about what you want. Did you mean something like this?

If you are using Firefox, you can get the Developers tools and view the CSS and HTML and figure out how it was all put together.

If you want each MENU item to span two lines then you will likely have to hard code that anchor text. Are you using an unordered list to display the menu items? Can we see your code?
